WORKSHOP ABSTRACT:

Don’t Give God Your Leftovers

We read a lot about first fruits in Scripture.  From Genesis to the Gospels, the concept of giving our first and our best to God appears again and again.  What does this mean to healthcare professionals?  We too can follow the principle of giving God our first fruits from day one in our careers, and not just giving him our leftovers.  Come hear more about what Scripture teaches about this concept and how it can influence your purpose, direction, and career path.

WORKSHOP ABSTRACT:

I Can’t Serve God ‘Til I’m Debt Free- Debunking the Myth

We all know that serving the poor and marginalized is a calling that requires some sacrifice.  However, did you know that working for peanuts after you graduate can actually work in some ways to your financial advantage?  Come learn about MedSend, the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, and other ways that student loan debt can be paid by someone else or forgiven altogether as you step into your calling.
